Anxiety & Trauma Therapy for Adults in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia

It’s time to break out of fear and shame and move into courage and clarity!

You don’t have to stay stuck in trauma, shame, or fear.

If you’ve tried to work through things on your own—reading books, listening to podcasts, or pushing yourself to “just get through it”—but still feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, you’re not alone.

Many people understand what they should do to feel better, but their nervous system is still reacting to past experiences in ways that feel impossible to control.

You might notice:

  • Anxiety that keeps you up at night

  • A tight feeling in your chest or difficulty taking a deep breath

  • Feeling frozen when making decisions

  • Persistent thoughts of not being good enough

  • A sense of loneliness even when life looks full on the outside

These patterns aren’t a personal failure—they’re your nervous system trying to protect you.

Therapy can help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and begin to move forward with more clarity and confidence.

Meet Tammy Leininger

I’m Tammy Leininger, a Licensed Professional Counselor and EMDRIA Certified Therapist with over 15 years of experience helping individuals work through anxiety, trauma, and shame.

My work focuses not only on your thoughts, but also on how your nervous system has learned to respond to past experiences.

Together, we’ll explore the patterns that are keeping you stuck and help your mind and body learn new ways of responding—so you can move forward with greater freedom, confidence, and self-compassion.

An Integrated Approach to Healing

Therapy should address what is keeping you stuck. I use an integrative approach that combines several evidence-based therapy models to address both the emotional and physical effects of anxiety and trauma.

Therapy approaches may include:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

Helps your brain process painful memories and release the emotional weight of past experiences.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Helps you understand the different parts of yourself and how they influence your reactions and beliefs.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Helps you develop psychological flexibility and move toward the life you want, even when difficult emotions arise.

These approaches work together to help your nervous system feel safer and allow meaningful change to happen.
